Originally, the 100-acre peninsula was part of Lord Monson's Round Hill Estate, which grew sugarcane, coconuts, and pimento. . The peninsula's fertile soil and ideal climate was also home to pineapple groves, which became forever prominent in the Round Hill logo and can be found sprinkled throughout the property.

The Spa at Round Hill and surrounding grounds were acquired in 2001, adding 10 additional beachfront acres to the property that now include the magnificently restored 18th century plantation house. Many of the cottages have been fully upgraded and expanded to include modern fixtures and technology. More recently, the estate has added lavish one-bedroom Suites to its distinctive accommodations offering.

How to get here?:

• Round Hill Hotel and Villas is located approximately 20 minutes from the Sangster International Airport. After leaving the airport and clearing the roundabout, continue left onto Queen's Drive until you get to the Mt. Alvernia Prep School, after which you will get to the stop light at Howard Cooke Boulevard. Continue on the highway, making a left turn onto Alice Eldemire Drive, where you will pass the Montego Bay Community College. You will then approach a stoplight, where you will take a right turn onto Bogue Road.

  Continue straight on Bogue Road for several miles until you cross over the Great River Bridge. Go straight and at this point, Round Hill is approximately 3 minutes away. The Main Gate entrance will be on the right.
